Johann matriculated at Port Natal, Durban after which he obtained his degree in Town and Regional Planning from the North West University, Potchefstroom. He was appointed as Town Planner at WRAP, Hermanus and registered as “planner in training” with the South African Council for Planners (SACPLAN), while he gained practical experience.

With sufficient practical experience in terms of the criteria of SACPLAN for registration, Johann was registered with SACPLAN as a Professional Town Planner (TRP SA).

Johann is also qualified to develop electronic three dimensional models for any project.
